“Our little rosebud,” the 39-year-old actress captioned the pic of her bundle of joy wearing a pink hat with a cute bow and perfectly wrapped up in a matching hospital blanket. After Kate posted the adorable pic, many of her 9.1 million followers couldn’t help but comment about how sweet baby Rani Rose looked in the snapshot. “So sweet! Congratulations on your beautiful new addition!” one person wrote with another similarly adding, “Congratulations. Looks just like you!”
Kate welcomed baby Rani Rose on Tuesday, Oct. 2 with her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa. To announce their little girl’s birth, Kate posted a few images to reveal her daughter’s birthdate, full name, and a note to her fans with the caption, “She’s here.”
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor,” Kate wrote. “Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
Baby Rani Rose is Kate’s first daughter but the actress’ third child. The proud mom also has two older sons, Ryder Russell, 14 (with her ex-husband Chris Robinson) and Bingham Hawn, 7 (with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy).
Just before Kate and Danny welcomed their daughter, In Touch Weekly reported that the couple — who began dating in 2017 — were planning “a casual wedding” to take place after the baby’s birth. “The baby will be a part of the special day,” a source told the magazine. “It’ll be a big family backyard blowout!” We can’t wait to see more photos of little Rani Rose!
